The under 7's are currently coached by Paul Jones, John McDermott, Lee Shaw and Matt Easton

 

Under 7's training is Tuesday 6pm at Minsthorpe Sports Hall

There has been big changes to the team since our last update. As the team is quite large we have been split into two sides, these are the Eagles and the Dragons. Both teams have been competing in the Millennium League and are doing exceptionally well.

 

The latest results are as follows: -

 

Sunday 17th Feb (Home)

Upton Eagles V Mexbro Rangers A

Result: won 5-1

Man of the match went to Bradley (loads of crossing and passing)

 

Sunday 17th Feb (Home)

Upton Dragons V Mexbro Rangers B

Result: won 5-1

Man of the match went to Ashley (ran his little legs off)

 

Sunday 10th Feb (Home)

Upton Eagles V Mexbro Real

Result: won 2-1 (goals from Bailey after an excellent cross from Ewan and the second from Lewis)

Man of the Match went to Lewis (the lad covered every blade of the grass)

 

Sunday 10th Feb (Home)

Upton Dragons V Mexbro AS

Result: Draw 1-1 (an excellent goal from Kian)

Man of the Match went to Kian (some excellent tackles)

 

 

THE UNDER 6's HAVE ALSO STARTED UP AND ARE COACHED BY PAUL JONES & FRANK HOLLINS

Under 6's Training is on Saturday morning at 10:00am

 

Training for the 6's began in January and already the team have 2 tournament WINS to their name those being Barnsley (at Oakwell) and Leeds (at Thorpe Arch) - well done boys.

 

Their very first match as an under 6's team was on Saturday 9th Feb (Home)

Upton V Mexbro Rangers

Result: win 15-5

Goals by: Bailey, Josh, Kian, Lewis and Owen.

Man of the Match went to Danial Binns who did some amazing tackles
